FAQs
So is it therapy or is it an extracurricular activity?
It’s both. Designed and led by a licensed therapist you and your child will be taught research based movement techniques to help regulate the nervous system while having fun. We know play is the best method of learning so we use music, movement, and storytelling to teach body awareness and emotional regulation.
Who is it for?
All of us can benefit from giving our nervous system some love, but the course was specifically designed for kids that struggle with emotional regulation and may hold diagnoses such as ADHD, ASD, anxiety, or complex developmental trauma.
Do I have to attend with my child?
Yes.
Kids need repetition to learn new concepts so the most impactful therapy will be one that involves caregivers and teaches them alongside their child so they can reinforce concepts and tools outside of the therapeutic space. During the course the teacher will provide brief descriptions of the why behind movements, but you will also be given electronic access to movement based strategies to use at home.
Working on attachment? This course will help with that too.
Can I bring my other kid?
If your other child falls within our age range then absolutely!
